Gourmet Xchange is within 5 to 11 minutes of four expressways — the PIE, CTE, KPE and ECP — about 10 minutes from the CBD, 18 from Changi Airport and 45 from Tuas Mega Port, on the developer’s estimates. Mattar, Aljunied and Geylang Bahru MRT stations lie within about a kilometre. For the development itself, see the Gourmet Xchange home page.

Road links for deliveries
For a food business distributing across Singapore, the four expressways around Gourmet Xchange put most outlets within a short run. The developer’s estimates are 5 minutes to the PIE, 6 to the CTE, 7 to the KPE and 11 to the ECP; 10 minutes to the CBD and 14 to Orchard Road. The logistics guide covers each route.
Air, sea and land freight
Changi Airport, for air-freighted produce and exports, is about 18 minutes away; Tuas Mega Port about 45; and the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints about 28 and 38 minutes, for road freight to and from Malaysia. Container trucks can drive to the Deluxe units on storeys 1 to 3 and to the common bays on storeys 2 and 3, so a container can be unloaded at the production floor.
Inside the building
Logistics continue inside: a ramp 12 to 18 metres wide, a 16-metre driveway on every production storey, loading lots at each unit, a 2,500 kg service lift and a 230-lot heavy vehicle park on the roof. The ramp-up insight explains why that matters.
Public transport for staff and customers
Mattar station on the Downtown Line is about 730 m away and Aljunied on the East-West Line about 780 m, on the developer’s context plan; Geylang Bahru on the Downtown Line is around a 13-minute walk, and MacPherson interchange is one stop from Mattar. Bus stops line Kallang Way and Aljunied Road. See the MRT guide.
Getting there by car and bus
Vehicles reach the site from Kallang Way: heavy vehicles use Access B to the ramp at the western end of The Xchange, and passenger cars use Access A. There are 76 car lots on site, 11 of them with EV charging, and a drop-off at the lobby facing the Central Plaza. From Aljunied Road, a pedestrian shortcut runs through the Heritage Terrace to the plaza and the waterfront. The park connector along the Pelton Canal adds a cycling route, with bicycle parking on site.

Follow-up questions
Is there parking for staff?
There are 76 car lots on site, including 11 with EV charging, plus the 230-lot heavy vehicle park on the roof. Staff can also use the three nearby MRT stations and the buses on Kallang Way and Aljunied Road.
Can 40-footer containers reach every storey?
40-footer container trucks reach storeys 1 to 3. Storeys 4 to 9 and the roof take 24-footer rigid-frame trucks, with common 40-footer bays on storeys 2 and 3 and a 2,500 kg service lift for the upper floors.
A delivery day from Kallang Way
For a central kitchen supplying outlets across Singapore, a typical round might run east along the PIE to Tampines and Pasir Ris, south via the KPE and ECP to the Marina and city outlets, and north via the CTE to Ang Mo Kio and beyond, returning to the unit’s own loading lot in between. Because the CBD is about 10 minutes away and Orchard Road about 14, a lunch-time top-up run to city outlets is practical from Gourmet Xchange in a way it is not from the outer industrial estates.
Getting goods in from abroad
Imported ingredients usually arrive by sea through the port or by air through Changi. A container leaving Tuas Mega Port reaches Kallang Way in about 45 minutes on the developer’s estimate, and can drive straight up the ramp to a Deluxe unit or the common bays on storeys 2 and 3. Air-freighted produce from Changi is about 18 minutes away. Road freight from Malaysia comes through the Woodlands or Tuas checkpoints, about 28 and 38 minutes away.
Customers, staff and visitors on foot
Not every journey to Gourmet Xchange is a delivery. The Central Plaza, River Promenade, Sky Garden and fitness corner make the site a destination in its own right, and the two riverfront restaurants, six food kiosks, industrial canteen and the eight Heritage Terrace frontages depend on footfall. A pedestrian shortcut runs from Aljunied Road through the terrace to the plaza and the waterfront; the park connector along the Pelton Canal, with a new pedestrian bridge shown on the architect’s key plan, links the site to the wider Kallang River network for walkers and cyclists. See the amenities page.
The surrounding food ecosystem
The industrial estates of MacPherson, Tai Seng, Ubi, Kaki Bukit and Bedok are 5 to 17 minutes away by road, putting suppliers and customers close at hand — see the food clusters guide and the location page.
